My love for horses began when I was about three years old. When asked in Kindergarten what I wanted to do when I grew up my reply was, "I want to ride horses! "
My very first pony was named Captain. Together, we learned a great deal about teamwork. We formed a great partnership with ups and downs. My father bought me my first horse when I was seven years old. I have been blessed to have had horses in my life ever since. I started my riding obsession riding English. I competed on Hunters for many years. At the age of nineteen, while jumping at the height of five foot three, I decided I wanted to try something new and different. I then realized I had a "need for speed" and purchased my first Reiner.

I started teaching at my local stable at the age of fourteen and now have over twenty-seven years of experience.

My clients do everything from competing in IEL (Interscholastic Equestrian League) horse shows to local all breed open Western Pleasure shows, to riding at ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Association) events. Some clients just enjoy our wonderful trails in the O C. I often take my clients on camping trips. We have a lot of great county parks in our local area that offer campsites with stalls. I have also taken a small group of clients to Pioneer Town near Palm Springs, for great desert trail riding. We also go to the Central Coast where we ride from our hotel to the beach, through sand dunes, and in the ocean.

I'm dedicated to teaching true horsemanship and developing a strong partnership between horse and rider. I offer customized training programs for horse and rider. I welcome all breeds of horse and ponies to my barn, even horses with " issues". I have studied with Monty Roberts and embrace a non-violent approach to training the horse. I believe in a low stress approach to training the young or green horse. I will work with you and your horse to establish a lasting partnership for you both. I teach with patience and respect and love sharing my horse knowledge with others. I specialize in children but will train any age rider that wants to learn. For those of you that do not have a horse of your own, I offer well-loved, healthy, happy lesson horses for your enjoyment. If you are interested, I would love to have you join my horse family here in Coto De Caza. We are a friendly, family oriented group of people of all ages. We enjoy sharing our love of horses together. Please come join the fun!
